President

As primus inter pares, the President exercises the leadership and representation of the Constitutional Court. The President is elected by the Plenary of the Court and must obtain a simple majority of votes. The term of office is two years, and the President is responsible for ensuring the proper jurisdictional and administrative functioning of the Court.

Daniela Marzi Muñoz

Daniela Beatriz Marzi Muñoz (16 de diciembre de 1979, Valparaíso) fue designada Ministra del Tribunal Constitucional, el 27 de abril de 2022, por su excelencia, el Presidente de la República, Gabriel Boric. Asumió el cargo el 9 de mayo de 2022, por un período de nueve años, tras la promesa realizada en la ceremonia de investidura. El 12 de julio de 2024 asumió como Presidenta del Tribunal, cargo que ejercerá hasta el 12 de julio de 2026.

Plenary 

The Constitutional Court consists of ten justices, who are appointed in accordance with Article 92 of the Political Constitution of the Republic (CPR). In order to sit, the Plenary requires a quorum of at least eight members.

In addition to sitting as the Plenary, the ten justices also sit in two Chambers. Each Chamber has five justices, and the minimum quorum required to sit is four members.

Alternate justices replace the sitting justices and participate in the Plenary or in either of the two Chambers when the quorum required to hold a session is not reached. They are appointed by the President of the Republic, with the agreement of the Senate, on the basis of a list of seven candidates proposed by the Constitutional Court following a public competitive selection process based on qualifications and background.
